I’m A Veteran
Hey, folks! Well, I did it again. Another open mic under my belt. That brings the tally to two which pretty much makes me an old timey veteran of comedy (Look out Jeff Foxworthy, here I come!). Okay, maybe not just yet. But, once again, I had a lot of fun.
Jessica and I went to Old Chicago in downtown Denver. She’s a real trooper considering she had to work this morning (we were out ’til one in the a.m.). We got to the bar a little late. The comedy started at 9ish but we arrived around 9:30. It was no problem. There was a comedy contest and a featured performer prior to the open mic. We heard the comedic stylings of Jordan Zuckerman, Kyle Bufkin and the headliner, Gretchen Hess before I kicked off the open mic portion. If you were wondering, Kyle Bufkin won the contest due to cheating (comedy enhancement drugs, although the blood tests came back negative).
We also got to see other comedians like Sam “Danger” Tallent, Jesse Carter, a black guy and an old man in a hat. I think they all did very well considering there was real live baby on the stage the whole night. Here is audio of my act which, just like most inexperienced performances, is heavy on the abortion: Stand up 2 by wolsamnoraa
I want to thank Jessica, Emily, Travis and Nate for coming out to see me last night. Sorry you missed the deal. Maybe a private showing in the bedroom will make up for it?
