What Is Supper Club?

the supper club from the boy's club for menSupper Club was an invention of my brother, Sean. Okay, it wasn’t actually his invention, but he brought it up one day. He suggested that he and I along with our other brother, Ryan, get together periodically and have a meal.

The meal consists of recipes that the hosts create or replicate and share here in the Supper Club portion of the Boy’s Club For Men.  All guests at the meal are by invitation only.

This works out well for us because we all love to cook and bake to some extent. I love trying new cooking techniques. Ryan loves to bake. And Sean is somewhere in the middle.

We like to meet new people as much as we like to eat. So, if you think you’d like to be a contributing member in this prestigious club, please feel free to apply by commenting in the section below as to why existing members should let you participate. All applicants will be subject to the mercy of the club.

If you have any questions or comments, or would like us to try one of your recipes, please feel free to share in the comment section below. We hope you enjoy.

I’m looking forward to the first Supper Club. It would be awesome if these events could be streamed online real-time with pics/video. UStream.tv may be a good outlet for streaming video and ShoutCast could be an option for streaming audio.

Are we still on for Pepper Pot Soup? I think it’s appropriate we include a tripe dish in this inaugural Sup’.

I, too, am looking forward to the first supper club. I think that real time video and audio would be a delightful addition to the site. I’ll look into it and see what arrangements can be made. Additionally, I think I will make a quick post that one, links the article that generated inspiration for this idea and, two, links to the recipe for Pepper Pot Soup. I love how the universe works that way…I used the excusable expression that the supper club was going to consist of “tripe”, and here, discovered by accident, is a recipe calling for tripe. Now I’m really excited!

I’m glad that you had a good time. Your salad and fritters were pretty good. I think that your presence in the kitchen was my favorite dish by far. You’re a funny boy.
